About Our Spectical Lenses

  • Simply one focus only – Distance, Reading, or Computers

  • A design providing two focuses, usually distance and reading. These lenses have a visible line separating the two focuses.

  • Designed for office use giving good reading vision and computer vision. There is also an option to add a focal range of up to 3 metres.

  • Excellent for everyday use. Provides focused vision at every distance-far distance, reading and computer.

  • Photochromatic lenses are clear lenses that transition to dark lenses when exposed to UV light. This can be an alternative to having a separate pair of sunglasses. There is now a range of photochromatic lenses to suit individual needs.

    • Blue Light filter: filters out blue light from electronic devices and screens. Blue light is natural but has been reported to cause visual eye strain and can even affect circadian rhythms if absorbed after sunset.

  • A higher index gives thinner and lighter lenses. A higher index lens is particularly important for those with higher prescriptions.

  • When sunlight hits a surface, whether it be water, grass, windscreen, or concrete, it splits into two wavelengths. Polarised lenses filter out one of these wavelengths significantly reducing glare. This is particularly useful if you are around water.

Our Frame Brand Gallery

Many spectacle wearers spend years unaware that they are suitable for contact lenses. Ask our staff about contact lenses.

  • Soft Contact lenses

Dailies, Fortnightly, and Monthly lenses available.

  • Multifocal Contact lenses

For those who need distance and reading glasses but want to be glasses free. Many people are unaware that they are suitable for multifocal contact lenses.

  • Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses

RGP lenses provide enhanced vision with excellent comfort and safety. Particularly useful for those with complex prescriptions, Keratoconus, and those who can’t wear soft contact lenses. RGP lenses last a lot longer than soft contact lenses making them very cost effective.

  • Ortho-Keratology

Ortho-Keratology uses rigid contact lenses to reshape the cornea to correct your vision while you sleep and then removed in the morning. Very much like a tooth retainer does for the teeth. Available for those who are myopic (shortsighted) and is a frontline therapy for myopia control.

  • Coloured contact lenses

A variety of colours are available in Dailies and Monthly soft contact lenses.
